You Can Now Make Skype Calls Directly From Slack

Slack and Skype have just partnered up to let users call contacts directly from the team collaboration platform.

To enable the feature, users simply visit the Skype integration for Slack product page, and click on the “Add to Slack” button.

Released last week, the integration lets anyone on a Slack team start a Skype call from a computer.

You simply type “/skype” into the chat and when the call is set up, a join link will appear.

This is available whether you use the platform on web, Windows, Mac, iOS or Android.

Anyone on the team can join the call whether they have a Skype account or not, by signing in as a guest, with a Microsoft account, or Skype Name.

To join a call from your mobile your must download the Skype mobile app.
