Instagram Launch Video Ads

Instagram have launched their much anticipated video ads.

Companies will be able to feature 15 second video ads, which appear in the same way as sponsored photos.

And yesterday, they released the four initial videos, which will start appearing on Instagram feeds in the US.

The companies who Instagram have launched the feature with are Disney, Banana Republic, Call of Duty and CW.

In a post on their blog the company said:

“Our aim is to make any advertisements you see feel as natural to Instagram as the photos and videos many of you already enjoy from your favorite brands. After all, our team doesn’t just build Instagram, we use it each and every day. We want these ads to be enjoyable and creative in much the same way you see engaging, high-quality ads when you flip through your favorite magazine.”

Instagram current have 200m active monthly users – 65% of whom are outside the US –  who post around 60m photos every day.
