Uber Has Made It Easier To Expense Business Rides

Uber has just released a new feature that makes expensing business trips much easier.

The billion dollar company has launched Auto-Expense, which lets you link your business profile on the app to your expense provider.

After linking the accounts, when you take an Uber ride, a copy of the receipt will automatically be sent for reimbursement.

The feature currently works with expense partners Concur, Expensify, Certify and Chrome River.

To activate Auto-Expense, you simply add an expense provider in your business profile settings, as shown below:

Last November, Uber released Business Profiles, which lets you create two accounts, and you click to confirm whether the trip is personal, or for business, when you order the Uber.

Two months after launching the option, 2m Uber users created a business profile.

Speaking about the new Auto-Expense feature, the Chief Product Officer at Concur said: “We pay close attention to the behavior and needs of our 32 million end users around the world — and take steps to provide the best customer experience.

“Our integration with Uber is an example of this as we saw business travelers using Uber grow by 220 percent from 2014 to 2015. That’s a lot of receipts. We’re pleased to continue our partnership with Uber to make reimbursement of rides a simple experience for Concur customers globally.”
