Bumble Releases AI Profile and Photo Feedback Tools

Bumble has announced a suite of new AI-powered profile improvement features designed to help users refine their profiles and move conversations toward real-life connections. The updates include personalized feedback on bios, prompts, and photos, aiming to boost authenticity and match quality.

The AI-suggested profile guidance tool, rolling out globally, analyzes users’ bios and prompts, offering actionable suggestions to make them more engaging and reflective of their personality. In the U.S., Bumble is also introducing an AI photo feedback feature that evaluates a user’s photo lineup and recommends improvements – such as removing images where faces are obscured (e.g., sunglasses), adding variety (outdoor shots, group photos), or highlighting those that best showcase authenticity. The advice provides structured, data-driven insights for users who struggle with self-presentation.

In Canada, Bumble is testing a non-AI feature called “Suggest a Date”. When a conversation stalls, users can signal openness to meeting in person with a simple prompt. CTO Vivek Sagi explained: “With Suggest a Date, we’re creating a clear expression of intent and giving members a way to bypass the traditional back-and-forth and move toward meeting in real life.” The goal is to reduce friction at key moments and increase the likelihood of meaningful offline relationships.

These additions follow a broader industry trend of integrating AI to combat user fatigue and improve outcomes. Hinge launched AI-generated conversation starters in December 2025, while Tinder is piloting Chemistry in Australia – using camera roll access and user answers to refine matches. Meta’s Facebook Dating introduced AI photo editing suggestions in October 2025, and similar tools have been occasionally included in a number of dating startups in recent months.
