GDI European Conference – Full Agenda Revealed

The online dating industry’s annual European Conference returns to the South Bank with a full-day programme focused on what actually moves the needle for dating and social discovery products: trustworthy AI, safer user journeys, and revenue models that work beyond subscriptions.

Organised by Global Dating Insights in partnership with Social Discovery Insights, the 2025 edition consolidates both brands into one larger conference, bringing founders, operators, investors and regulators into the same room.

This year’s agenda showcases sessions featuring leaders from across the ecosystem—including product builders, agencies, legal specialists and policy voices—signalling a pragmatic tilt toward execution and compliance. Companies highlighted in the early lineup span established and emerging names such as Courtland Brooks, DatingX.ai, Evntful Dating, Flamme, Flutrr, Hearts Dating, IRLY, KK Group, Mattr, Ofcom, Online Personals Group, Prince Lobel Tye LLP, ReKindle, Sirf Coffee, Slidein, TrulyMadly, Urbanmatch, Walnut, and others.

Expect frank takes on acquisition, retention and brand safety in an environment where user expectations and regulatory scrutiny are both rising.

Core themes run through the day:

  • AI in production – how teams are deploying LLMs and machine learning inside onboarding, matching and moderation without eroding trust.
  • Safety & trust at scale – policy, age checks, fraud prevention and content moderation, with perspectives that include the regulator’s lens.
  • Monetising the 95% – models beyond monthly subs, from pay-per-match to à-la-carte features and brand partnerships.
  • UX that converts – signals, prompts and product mechanics that improve quality connections while protecting user wellbeing. These topic pillars were trailed when we published the early programme and have been reinforced in pre-event updates.

As ever, networking is the engine. Alongside stage content, attendees get structured breaks, exhibitor interactions and end-of-day drinks—useful for founders and product leads seeking partners, pilots or capital.

The setting remains a draw: County Hall on the Thames, with views over the London Eye, now something of a tradition for the event and a convenient hub for international travellers.

Proceedings kick off the day before with a closed-door Leaders’ Lunch – a private session designed for senior operators to compare notes off the record before ideas surface on stage. We have one ticket left.

Seats are intentionally limited, keeping conversation focused and candid. We have 5 tickets left at Eventbrite.

Why this matters now: the sector is recalibrating. With user fatigue, higher safety expectations and changing app-store economics, the agenda leans into practical levers—trustworthy innovation, measurable growth and compliance that won’t break the product. For teams planning 2026 roadmaps, London offers a compressed download of what’s working (and what isn’t).
