Hinge Launches in Mexico as Its First Latin American Market

Dating app Hinge has officially entered Mexico, marking its debut in Latin America.

Mexico becomes Hinge’s first entry into the Latin American region, several industry watchers note, following strong growth in North America, Europe and Australia. The company says its mission has always centered around facilitating more intentional, in-person dating rather than prolonged app engagement, and that isn’t likely to change with this new market.

To support that mission, Hinge is rolling out in Mexico the same core features that define its global product: Prompts (structured questions or opening statements), Voice and Video Prompts for richer self-expression, Prompt Polls to spark early interaction, and a set of engagement tools such as Dating Intentions, Backstory, Voice Notes, Your Turn, Your Turn Limits, and the “We Met” survey feature.

In announcing the expansion, Hinge CEO Justin McLeod emphasized the company’s desire to support daters in Mexico, stating that:

“At Hinge, our focus has always been about creating an experience that helps people date with more intention. With our launch in Mexico, we’re excited to support a community of daters who are looking for something real and meaningful.”

Hinge’s Mexico launch aligns with its broader expansion roadmap; previous reporting suggests the company aims to enter Brazil later in Q4 in 2025. As the dating app sector faces fatigue and evolving user expectations, Hinge’s entry into Latin America helps to widen its audience and allows the platform to adapt itself to new user preferences as needed.
