HubPeople Introduces Dating Site Cash Payments for 100m Users
HubPeople, a prominent provider of Dating as a Service (DaaS) technology, has partnered with The Payments Group to bring a new cash payment option to millions of dating platform users worldwide. Through TPG’s CashtoCode service, customers can now pay for dating app subscriptions in cash at over 550,000 physical points of sale in locations such as newsagents, petrol stations, and supermarkets.
With a global customer base spanning emerging markets, HubPeople identified a demand for secure and accessible cash payment solutions, especially in regions like Latin America where card adoption is low. TPG’s integration will enable HubPeople-powered dating apps to process cash payments in 17 different currencies, as well as offer an evoucher option for users who prefer digital vouchers.
Jens Bader, TPG’s CEO, highlighted that this solution effectively integrates hundreds of thousands of new checkout points globally, catering specifically to the needs of cash-preferred customers in the dating industry. With TPG accepting cash payments in 17 different currencies and offering a secure e-voucher option, the partnership provides a total of over 100 million users with a brand new set of payment options.
Nick Orton of HubPeople emphasized the value of reaching a broader demographic, particularly customers who prioritize privacy and discretion in their online payments. This new cash option not only offers flexibility but also privacy, as dating subscriptions are often payments users wish to make confidentially – meaning that the new payment methods provide complete security by staying completely detached from normal banking or e-wallet systems.
