QuackQuack Reports 40M Users as Year-End Activity Rises

Indian dating app QuackQuack says it has crossed 40 million registered users, driven by a surge in activity during the final months of 2025 and shifting dating preferences among young adults. The company shared the milestone alongside findings from a survey of more than 10,000 users across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities. This comes not long after the launch of Rebounce, another app under the QuackQuack name that has also managed to find solid footing so far despite its recency.

According to the platform’s report, 2025 saw a notable move toward slower, more intentional dating behaviour. Over 43% of surveyed users indicated a growing preference for consistent conversation and gradual relationship-building rather than quick matches or casual encounters. Many respondents described a desire for emotional connection and familiarity, particularly among daters aged 22 to 35.

QuackQuack’s Founder and CEO, Ravi Mittal, said, “I believe we reached this monumental milestone because of how this year has been; people are so much more inclined towards slow romance and intentional matches, the kind of dating that requires constant interactions and a little more options than offline dating can offer. Our 40 million milestone is truly a byproduct of this wonderful shift from superficial to real romance and the growing emotional maturing of young Indians. Moreover, we saw a huge resurgence of daters from Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and more, with metro-based users now accounting for more than 45% of our user base.”

The year-end period also contributed to the spike. Like many dating platforms globally, QuackQuack typically sees increased sign-ups in November and December, often linked to what is commonly referred to as “cuffing season.” The report notes a roughly 12% increase in new users from late October to early November, driven by people looking to establish relationships before the new year.

A key growth factor this year has been the rise in urban users. While the app has historically been popular in Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, it recorded a renewed uptick in users from major metropolitan areas. This contrasts with several dating apps that reported more users leaning toward offline social interactions throughout 2025.
