Reddit Expands Beta Testing of Reminder Ads

Reddit is broadening the beta availability of its Reminder Ads feature, allowing more advertisers to use push notifications and inbox alerts to drive timely engagement for product launches, events, ticket sales, and similar time-sensitive campaigns. The update was detailed in a February announcement from the platform.

Originally introduced in early 2025 specifically for “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) sessions, Reminder Ads have since been extended to all brand awareness and traffic objective campaigns. When included in an ad, a “Remind Me” call-to-action button appears. Tapping it opts the user into a push notification on the day of the promoted event or launch, plus a reminder message delivered to their Reddit inbox. Reddit explains the feature as a way to “nudge redditors to your product launch, game release, or ticket sale date”.

Advertisers can monitor performance through an “engaged clicks” metric that tracks the total number of users who opted in to reminders, including those who later opted out. This provides clearer insight into actual interest and re-engagement potential compared to standard click-through or impression data.

The feature is currently in limited beta with select partners, with no public timeline announced for wider rollout. The expansion aligns with Reddit’s ongoing efforts to give advertisers more tools for time-bound promotions while leveraging the platform’s role as a hub for product research, event discussions, and community recommendations. Reminder Ads add a direct re-engagement layer to Reddit’s ad suite, which already includes promoted posts, video ads, and conversation ads.
