Swept Dating Adds Planner, Themes, and Stronger Safety Tools

Swept Dating has released a significant update focused on structured planning, user personalization, and elevated security to address common frustrations in modern online dating. The headline feature is the integrated Date Planner for more intentional dating, allowing users to create, manage, and confirm date itineraries directly in-app. Instead of juggling external texts or notes, singles can build plans with suggested local activities (such as restaurants, galleries, or parks), set times and locations, and send proposals to matches.

Post-date feedback options let users “rate the date” to refine future suggestions and report no-shows or ghosting. Repeated patterns contribute to internal trust signals, helping protect the community and promote accountability – aligning with Swept’s core anti-ghosting technology. Personalization also arrives via Theme Styling, enabling users to customize the app’s color palettes and visual style.

The added safety features include upgraded VPN detection to curb fraudulent or misleading accounts, plus infrastructure improvements supporting future age verification and compliance standards. These build on Swept’s existing government ID verification (required for all visible profiles as of March 2026), which displays clear trust indicators to reduce catfishing, scams, and impersonation.

The update expands availability across the United States and Canada, with plans for additional English-speaking markets. Enhanced onboarding includes better profile attributes for ethnicity and background representation, boosting inclusivity.CEO Rob Kennedy stated: “This update reflects our commitment to building a dating app that prioritizes intention, safety, and personalization. We are focused on helping people build meaningful relationships, not endless swiping.”
