Threads Sets Up Branded Studio at Super Bowl Media Center

Meta is intensifying its push to position Threads as a destination for real-time conversation by establishing a branded studio for creators and podcasters inside the NFL media center ahead of Super Bowl LX. The initiative aims to capture live discussion and trends around the championship game.

The studio provides a dedicated space for high-profile guests – including NFL personalities, celebrities, and influencers – to participate in live chats, interviews, and commentary directly tied to Threads. The setup reflects Meta’s strategy to leverage major sporting events as catalysts for platform growth, particularly in sports-driven real-time engagement.

Sports remains one of the most discussed categories on social platforms, with the NFL consistently ranking among the top drivers of conversation. Threads has already made inroads in this area, securing mentions from ESPN and NBA TV broadcasts as a preferred home for post-game and live-event discussion during the 2025–26 NBA season. The Super Bowl presence builds on that momentum, targeting both casual viewers and dedicated sports communities.

Threads has introduced features to support sports engagement, including live game indicators and dedicated sports communities that surface scores, highlights, and fan commentary. With 400 million monthly active users as of early 2026 – closing the gap with X’s reported 600 million – Meta sees live events as a key area to accelerate adoption and deepen user retention.
