DateGuard To Launch As AI-Powered Pre-Date Verification Tool
DateGuard (dateguard.ai), a new AI-driven tool aimed at improving safety in online dating, is scheduled to launch publicly on April 10-12, 2026. The service focuses on verifying identities and assessing authenticity before users meet in person.
The tool combines facial recognition with vocal biomarker analysis., integrating Facia.ai for liveness detection and identity verification – a combination designed to identify deepfakes and spoofing attempts rather than simple photo matching. During guided voice questions, it analyzes speech patterns using technology from Emotion Logic to detect markers of emotional authenticity.
The system is patent-pending and combines facial and vocal analysis specifically for dating contexts. It also allows scanning of dating profiles and conversations for potential scams, bots, manipulation, or deepfakes, providing an AI-generated authenticity score based on multiple factors rather than just one. Users who complete verification receive a shareable “Verified Badge” that marks them as a legitimate user, with the site claiming that all recordings are destroyed within 24 hours of being processed.
DateGuard was developed by Michael Berman, 77, through DateSpecialists Group LLC. The company also operates REWRITE, an AI communication coaching tool, and a Boomer Marketing Agency. Berman has positioned the product as a safety layer for dating app users concerned about catfishing and misrepresentation.
The tool functions as a standalone pre-date verification service rather than a full dating app. It aims to give users more confidence before transitioning from online chats to real-world meetings by flagging potential red flags through biometric and behavioral analysis.
