Why Your Facebook Page Likes May Soon Fall

Facebook

Over the next few weeks, you are likely to see a fall in the number of likes your Facebook Page has.

The social network has announced they will be removing all likes from deactivated accounts.

Any Facebook likes from “memorialized and voluntarily deactivated accounts” will be removed from a company’s Page likes.

In a blog post, Facebook said they already remove likes and comments from deactivated accounts for individual posts, so this is keeping their stance consistent.

They also said it should help businesses get better up-to-date audience insights on the people who actively follow their Page.

The social network said businesses should expect a “small dip” in their number of Page likes over the coming weeks.
