25% Of Dating App Users Admit To Lying About Themselves
Many users admit to being less than truthful on dating apps. According to a survey conducted by the digital identity verification platform ClarityCheck among 4,800 respondents in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union, 25% confessed to hiding or altering personal information – including their relationship status, location, or even full identity, Newsweek reports.
About 63% of users said they had interacted with someone whose profile turned out to be misleading, while 54% now plan to verify information themselves before starting a relationship. Two-thirds of users aged 25 to 45 stated that they no longer trust what they see on dating platforms.
