Hinge Gives Employees $100 Monthly to Fund Dates

As part of its benefits package, the dating app Hinge provides its more than 300 global employees with $100 every month to take someone out on a date. That extra cash can really help bridge the gap when the average American spends more than $2,000 per year to go on dates, according to a survey by financial institution BMO. 

Employees don’t have to be single to take advantage of the benefit—they can use the money to take out their spouse, a friend, or even the whole family. What matters is that employees are using the benefit to build and foster real-life relationships, says Angel Franklin, chief operating officer of Hinge.
