Match Group’s Jared Sine to Join GoDaddy
Jared Sine, Match Group’s Chief Business Affairs & Legal Officer, will be leaving the company to join website services provider GoDaddy. At Match Group, Sine oversaw a number of key developments, including the acquisition of Hinge in 2018.
Since March 2021, Jared Sine has served as Match Group’s Chief Business Affairs & Legal Officer, managing areas such as privacy, safety and social advocacy, compliance, government affairs, and mergers & acquisitions.
Key strategic moves overseen by Sine include the acquisition of dating app Hinge and the $20 billion separation from IAC/InterActiveCorp in 2020.
Sine was featured in Global Dating Insights’ 2022 Power Book after his work in the legal developments against Apple and Google regarding commission fees for the app stores. It was also noted that he appeared in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee during these antitrust hearings.
He will now be joining GoDaddy, where he will be serving as Chief Strategy & Legal Officer. This role will see him oversee strategy, legal, corporate and business development areas, reporting to the company’s CEO Aman Bhutani.
“I love technology that makes it easier for people to do the things they love, and I’m inspired by GoDaddy’s mission to empower entrepreneurs everywhere through its technology platform,” said Sine.
“This is an exciting time to join GoDaddy as it continues its own tech evolution, and I’m eager to work with Aman and the amazing GoDaddy team to deliver on this mission”, he added.
GoDaddy helps businesses manage their websites and domain names, as well as supporting sales and online payments.
“I’m thrilled to welcome Jared to our team,” said GoDaddy CEO Aman Bhutani. “Jared brings deep expertise and highly varied business experience that will help GoDaddy and the entrepreneurs we serve thrive”, he shared.
