Sniffies Adds New Filters for Physical Features
Gay hookup app Sniffies has added new filters to the platform to help users find someone with the exact physical traits they’re looking for. The ‘cruising’ app has added filters for age, body type, endowment size, and preferred sexual positions.
Sniffies is a map-based platform for cruising. Cruising is defined as “walking or driving around certain areas, called cruising grounds, looking for a sexual partner. These meetings are usually one-off, anonymous encounters”, according to Birmingham LGBT.
To further facilitate and improve these encounters, Sniffies has added new filters for traits such as age, preferred sexual positions, endowment size, body type, and sexuality.
The platform shared that “by leveraging this advanced filtering system, users can effortlessly discover fellow cruisers who align with their preferences, ensuring more meaningful connections and encounters”.
In past reporting, Global Dating Insights highlighted that Sniffies is providing a resource for gay men that they may not be able to find elsewhere. As Eli Martin, the platform’s Chief Marketing Officer, told Slate Magazine:
“Grindr’s really become like a Facebook. It’s like you can go on there and you can find anything. You can find a boyfriend; you can maybe sell a car. Who knows, find your best friend. But Sniffies is superspecific. You’re going on there to find guys, have these intimate experiences…”.
The map-based platform highlights nearby cruisers, popular meeting spots, and active groups to facilitate hookups. It offers users the ability to video call before meeting, and allows full nudity in profile pictures.
