Instagram Tests Clickable Links in Post Captions

Instagram has begun testing a long-requested feature: the ability to add clickable links directly in post captions – but only for select subscribers to Meta Verified. The limited test marks a notable shift for the platform, which has historically restricted such links to Stories, Reels, bio sections, and swipe-up features (now largely phased out).

Meta confirmed the trial to multiple outlets, stating it addresses one of the top feature requests from its paid subscriber community. “We’re excited to test what new value this benefit brings,” the company noted. Early participants, including creator Andrea Valeria, report a cap of up to 10 links per month in captions, with the ability to hyperlink specific words for better targeting and messaging.
