Bumble Expands Partnership with WNBA’s New York Liberty
Bumble, the women-first social networking app, has strengthened its commitment to women’s sports by expanding its partnership with the WNBA’s New York Liberty. As the team advances in the playoffs, Bumble will serve as the presenting sponsor for a Liberty home game during the first round, marking a significant milestone in their ongoing collaboration.
This partnership will see Bumble hosting a unique singles event at Barclays Center, allowing fans to connect while supporting the Liberty. In addition, the collaboration includes a series of social media campaigns featuring dating tips from Liberty players and the team’s mascot. One lucky fan will also win a VIP date night experience at a future WNBA game.
Bumble’s support for women in sports is part of its broader mission to empower women across various sectors. Keia Clarke, CEO of New York Liberty, emphasized the importance of aligning with companies like Bumble that share the team’s values and vision.
“As the landscape of women’s sports evolves, we remain committed to partnering with value-aligned companies that understand the impact of women’s sports.” Clarke stated. “We are thrilled to partner with Bumble to provide unique opportunities for our fans and the New York community.”
While dating apps have partnered with sports teams and other related groups in the past, this could be the start of a new push by Bumble to reinforce its focus on empowering women within the dating scene.
