Club Introductions Takes Affordable Matchmaking Model to the US

UK matchmaking service Club Introductions is preparing to expand into the US. Founded by dating industry veteran Lorraine Adams, the company offers a more affordable personal matchmaking. Its clients are typically professionals looking for long-term relationships.

Adams has worked in the dating industry for more than 25 years and was an early pioneer of commercial speed dating. She launched Club Introductions during the pandemic after identifying a gap between dating apps and high-priced personal matchmaking. The business has since expanded across the UK, helped by the acquisition of several smaller matchmaking brands.

Club Introductions charges £1,000 for six months of matchmaking. Clients complete a detailed enrolment form and go through a video call and ID check. They can then receive up to three potential matches each month. Adams and her team use compatibility and psychological factors when selecting introductions, rather than relying mainly on a list of preferred traits.

The US will be the company’s next market. Adams already has a presence there as co-founder of The Singles Hub, a platform that provides dating guidance and resources for singles. She is also talking to US matchmaking agencies about working together, including offering Club Introductions to clients looking for a lower-priced matchmaking service.
