Hinge Launches “It’s Funny We Met on Hinge” Campaign For 2025

Hinge has launched a global advertising campaign, “It’s Funny We Met on Hinge,” created in partnership with New York-based collective Birthday that features seven real-life couples and the journeys they took towards finding love. These couples recount how their lives had intersected before matching on Hinge – childhood friendships, shared acquaintances, and workplace encounters – only to solidify their connection online.

Corinna Falusi, founder of Birthday, stated that the campaign’s entire core is that “real couples share their own stories of how their paths intertwined – capturing the intricacies of modern romance more relatably than any script could… the couples had crossed paths in real life multiple times, but it was Hinge that finally brought them together.”

The campaign builds on Hinge’s ongoing “Designed to Be Deleted” initiative and its “No Ordinary Love” anthology by spotlighting authentic, unscripted narratives. Directed by India Sleem of Serial Pictures, the project is meant to be a continuation of the idea that Hinge is an app built for relationships first and foremost, emphasising that the platform is able to bring people together rather than just set up endless matches.

Running from December 26, 2024, to March 2025, the campaign will feature ad spots across social media and streaming platforms in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia. Starting in January 2025, certain creators will also share their own unexpected Hinge love stories, building off the message that there are many paths to find love and no two people have the exact same experience.
