ParshipMeet Group Appoints Matthew Gain as New CEO

ParshipMeet Group, one of the world’s largest dating and video platform providers, has announced that Matthew Gain will take over as CEO on March 1, 2025. Gain, an Australian executive with a background in digital B2C products and subscription-based businesses, joins from Amazon’s Audible, where he most recently served as Head of Europe.

Gain expressed enthusiasm for the new role in a LinkedIn post about the change yesterday, stating that he’s “looking forward to overseeing the portfolio of nine apps that enable omre than one billion matches and over 100 million video streams a year”.

Gain succeeds Marc Schachtel, who is stepping down after 14 years with the company. Schachtel, who played a crucial role in the acquisitions of ElitePartner, eharmony, and The Meet Group, has decided to leave for personal reasons but expressed gratitude for his time at ParshipMeet Group. “Even though it is not easy for me to say goodbye, it is a conscious decision to focus on my family and to become involved in other entrepreneurial activities in the future,” he stated.

ParshipMeet Group, home to dating platforms such as eharmony, Parship, and ElitePartner, as well as social entertainment apps like MeetMe, Tagged, and LOVOO, is looking to leverage Gain’s experience in international expansion and content-driven engagement. Under his leadership at Audible, Gain oversaw growth in Europe and played a key role in scaling operations and investing in original content.
