Plus 1 Reaches 10,000 Downloads, Launches Premium Features
Plus 1, a plans-first social app focused on friendship, networking, and dating, marked six months since launch by celebrating 10,000 downloads at an exclusive event in Miami during Music Week.
The private gathering took place on March 25, 2026, at a luxury penthouse in downtown Miami. Approximately 110 attendees joined for networking, panel discussions, and skyline views. Guest speakers included Ryan McFarland from Fast Lane Drive, dental surgeon Dr. Dustin Pfundheller, and Yadira Diaz of sustainability company Gradible. Co-founder Angie Romasanta moderated conversations on performance, wellness, and brand building.
Unlike traditional swipe-based apps, Plus 1 centers on users posting specific plans — such as dinners, workouts, events, or travel — and connecting with others interested in joining. The company says this approach aims to move people from digital scrolling toward real-world shared experiences.
The event also served as the official launch of Plus 1’s premium membership tiers. These paid options are intended to increase visibility for user plans and create a more curated environment for connections. Founders described the milestone as evidence of demand for alternatives to conventional social and dating platforms
Co-founder Jeff Wulkan stated that reaching 10,000 downloads in the first six months reflects interest in a different way of meeting people. The app has focused initial growth in South Florida, where it continues to build its user base. Plus 1 is currently in the final stages of its seed funding round, with plans to expand beyond South Florida in the coming months.
