Threads Improves Post Sharing System

Threads is rolling out a fresh update aimed at making it easier for users to reshare the posts they’ve liked or saved. The change adds a dedicated list of those posts straight in the composer – so when you tap the quote icon, you’ll see all your saved or liked content, ready for you to add your own take and share.

According to Threads, this new capability is currently available on iOS and is expected to arrive on Android in the coming weeks. Previously, rediscovering a post you liked meant scrolling through your history or using bookmarks – a process many users found cumbersome and time-consuming. This update simplifies the workflow and may encourage more sharing and engagement overall.

The importance of this small but meaningful improvement becomes clearer in the broader context of how social platforms are evolving. Over recent months, Threads has introduced a suite of new tools designed to boost user interaction and content creation: scheduling posts in advance, customizable feeds, topic tagging, disappearing “ghost” posts, and more. The new quote-from-saved/liked feature slots into this strategy, lowering friction for sharing and encouraging users to revisit and repurpose content easily.

By making it easier to reflect back on content that resonated, Threads may help encourage more thoughtful dialogue and reuse of posts, rather than one-off consumption. At the very least, it’s a small quality-of-life feature that might find use in both personal and professional posting, especially for very active accounts.
