TikTok Shop Expands AI Toolkit With Video, Listing, and Dubbing Tools
TikTok is adding a new set of AI-powered features aimed at helping TikTok Shop merchants create product content more quickly and with less manual effort, as the platform continues to push deeper into social commerce.
The updates, announced this week, focus on automating key parts of the product marketing process, including video creation, listing setup, and localization. The most prominent addition is TikTok’s new AI Fashion Video Maker, which allows sellers to turn still product images into short-form videos. Using uploaded photos, the tool can generate clips complete with visuals, music, and voiceovers in a matter of minutes.
The feature is designed to reduce the production barrier for sellers who may not have the time or resources to regularly create native TikTok videos. While TikTok cautions that results may vary, the company has spent years developing AI-generated human models and synthetic media tools, which now appear to be moving more directly into its commerce stack.
TikTok is also rolling out AI dubbing for TikTok Shop videos. This feature automatically generates scripts based on product information and uses a synthetic version of the seller’s own voice, combined with lip-syncing, to produce localized or revised versions of existing content. The goal is to make it easier for merchants to adapt videos for different audiences without re-recording or reshooting.
Another notable addition is “List with AI,” a tool that turns minimal product inputs – such as a single image and a short description – into a complete TikTok Shop listing. According to TikTok, “The AI handles the heavy lifting by generating your product titles, descriptions, and categories, so you can focus on making sales.”
