A new instalment of LiftOff’s “Meet the Heroes” video series sees the company sit down with Match Group’s Head of Mobile App Acquisition, James Peng.
In a Q&A interview led by the mobile app marketers, former investment banker Peng explains how he first got into mobile marketing and shares some of the traits he thinks are important for being a successful mobile marketer.
During the session, Peng is asked about the biggest challenges he faces in his role, which he says is the difficulty of not having a specific target audience, and speaks about how the level of maturity of a user can limit their marketing abilities.
He also shares insights into how he stays ahead of the changes in technology by keeping a close network of industry insiders, ensuring a state of continuous conversation.
When asked about the next big thing in marketing, Peng says we will see a “major development” in user-level targeting for traditional mobile ad network traffic and a higher demand from mobile apps for specific targeting for their key audiences.
