Coffee Meets Bagel has just added a new feature to its app, to help users express just how much they like each other.

In a similar way to Tinder’s Super Like feature, the one-match-per-day app now lets users “Send a Woo” to signify an elevated interest in one particular profile.

The app, which began its international expansion in April last year, strategically launched its latest addition last December, to coincide with online dating’s busiest time of the year.

According to the app, the new feature has been designed to help users find more meaningful connections and engage in more valuable conversations with the people they connect with.

Users will now notice a “Woo” button placed at the bottom right of the app screen, next to the “like” button.

Once the “Woo” is clicked, a text box appears saying: “Stand out from the crowd. Woo your Bagel to get noticed faster. Send more Woos to show more interest!”

Coffee Meets Bagel users can send a “Woo” using the app’s in-app currency bought in the Bean Shop, which allows them to exchange real money for virtual currency to spend within the app.

And in beta testing, the app’s co-founder and CEO Dawoon Kang said that the app saw three times more matches for those who used “Send a Woo”.

The app is available to download for both iOS and Android devices.
