Bumble Welcomes Michele Tobin as VP of Partnerships
Bumble has announced Michele Tobin as its new VP of Partnerships. The new hire will be focused on creating opportunities for brands to target Bumble’s worldwide community with promotional campaigns.
One of her first tasks is overseeing a collaboration with Booksmart, the directorial debut from Olivia Wilde. The first screening of the film came at SXSW, where Wilde and members of her cast took part in a Q&A session at the pop-up Bumble Hive.
Tobin joins the female-first social app having spent just under two years with Grindr, working as the Head of Global Advertising and Partnerships. Some of her other former employers include DraftKings and Rovio Entertainment.

The new Bumble team member said in a statement: “After working in industries that have ranged from gaming and entertainment to sports, I’m thrilled to be at a company that’s built by women.
“It is such a critical time for brands to take a stand on social issues and I can’t wait to help accelerate Bumble’s worldwide mission of empowering women.”
Chief Brand Officer Alex Williamson continued: “Michele provides significant experience in the global partnerships sector, which is an important focus for Bumble as we continue to expand globally.
“We’re excited for Michele to lead our collaborative work with like-minded brands that align with our values and mission to promote equality and women’s empowerment.”
TV Fashion Stylist Jessica Malroney has also joined Bumble this week as a Strategic Advisor. She will be helping to run networking events and expanding the app’s reach in Canada, a market that has just welcomed its four millionth user.
