Feminist dating app Bumble is set to present at the Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network (WEEN) Awards ceremony next month.

The event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 21 at 5pm. It is hosted at The Conga Room, L.A. LIVE.

It celebrates successes and innovations from women of colour across the technology, entertainment and art industries.

BET Her, a 24-hour entertainment network targeting African-American women, will also be partnering with WEEN.

“WEEN is so excited about our partnership with BET Her and Bumble,” said Valeisha Butterfield Jones, Co-Founder and CEO of WEEN.

“Both exemplify our core value of women’s ermpowerment. Celebrating eleven years of service and our eighth awards show, this will be a night of philanthropy, glamour and magic.”

Whitney Wolfe Herd added: “It’s an absolute honor to be a part of such an inspiring group of women and empowering organizations.

“WEEN and BET Her are both doing wonderful work to provide women of color with opportunities in entertainment.

“Together, we can align our communities to shift the conversation and create positive and impactful change in an area where it is desperately needed.”
