Chappy and Spring Studios Partner for New York Pride

Chappy has joined in partnership with Spring Studios to create a series of events taking place this week during New York City Pride.

The dating app is trying to increase its brand awareness in the U.S by working with the work space club, which is located in TriBeCA.

Chappy worked with Spring Studios to host events including an evening of cocktails and conversation co-hosted by ‘Modern Family’ actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress Lea DeLaria.

On Tuesday, they hosted the ‘Boys, Boys, Boys’ party, which brought together the likes of Karamo Brown and Nico Tortorella from ‘Queer Eye,’ designer Timo Weiland and influencers such as Freddy Rodríguez, Barrett Pall and Igee Okafor.

Head of brand at Chappy Sam Dumas said: “It is our first time taking a strong stance in the U.S. market. We believe fundamentally that conversation and connection is important and we are currently operating in a dating space that provides one thing. At Chappy, it’s important for us to think of the user first and the experience first. We want to foster a community that’s based on kindness and respect.”

The programming will continue today with a breakfast hosted by Paper Magazine’s editorial director Mickey Boardman, and creative director Drew Elliott. There will be 25 guests attending for a discussion on gay dating.
