In the evening startup competition, we will provide pizza and drinks as the hottest new dating startups pitch, get questioned by attendees & experts, before the winners are picked by an audience vote.

For the competition, there are two categories: early stage and growth stage.

The format will work like this: after the free application process, those chosen as finalists for both categories by the GDI team will all pitch on the night to our audience and dating industry experts.

Throughout the event, there will be breaks for food, drinks and networking, and after all the finalists have pitched to the room, and been asked questions by attendees & experts, the audience will decide who wins by public vote.

The startup competition, which runs from 7pm — 9pm on 27th October, will be held The Singer Tavern near Old Street, and will be followed by an after party.

Sponsors for the GDI Conference and Spotlight on Startups event include Dating Factory, Venntro, Securion Pay and Hub People.

Simon Corbett, the founder of GDI, said: “Our previous conferences in London and Amsterdam have been a huge success with industry leading speakers and a senior international audience, and we believe this year’s event will be even bigger.

“Our Spotlight on Startups event breaks new ground for the industry by letting the audience decide who they believe is the industry’s next big star. The night will be fast-paced, fun, fair and interactive.”

Stay tuned for more details about both events in the coming weeks, and get in touch here if you are interested in getting involved in the day.
