IRLY Founders Join Adweek Podcast
IRLY, the dating app for Gen Z, recently sat down with Adweek to discuss the platform’s unique offerings. Co-founders Laura Rollock and Connor Rose were guests on Adweek’s Young Influentials podcast series.
Rollock and Rose share how IRLY (pronounced ‘early’), uses video-chats and gamification to connect Gen Z singles. They also discuss the contribution of Cameron Dallas, an influencer who joined the team after seeing IRLY’s vision.
Rollock shared how she saw, and experienced, dates that went on for a long time even though the connection wasn’t there. This helped inform the short video dates that the platform provides, which enables a ‘vibe check’ before an IRL meetup.
Rose shared how Gen Z are shifting toward video, for example with the rise of TikTok. He explains that the brand’s video-first features, and core value of authenticity, resonates with the younger generation.
