LOVOO has redesigned its profile pages to help its users show off more aspects of their personality to potential matches.
The biggest addition is the introduction of profile questions. Singles need to pick at least three questions and answer them to show off their most important characteristics and preferences.
Some of the questions that users can choose from include if they are a dog or a cat person, how they relax on Sundays, and which television character they think they are most similar to.
They have been created to act as an icebreaker to make it easier for matches to get into a conversation and to hopefully get rid of some of the less interesting introduction messages.
The questions are displayed at the top of the new scrollable profiles, which clearly show off what kind of relationship the user is looking for, more of their personal information, as well as all of their photos in a ‘carousel’ format.
LOVOO hinted that there are plans for more updates in the near future but did not elaborate on any extra details.
One of the original co-founders Benjamin Bak also announced that his new startup incubator is due to open in Dresden today. He is aiming to bring five up-and-coming digital business startups into the system by the end of the year and to help them scale with his experience and expertise.
Bak and his six other co-founders sold LOVOO to The Meet Group for $70 million two years ago.
