Snapchat Introduces Universal Search Bar For Finding Friends & Publishers

Snapchat

Snapchat is updating how people search on the app, adding a new search bar to help users find friends and discover publishers.

As part of its latest update, Snapchat is introducing a new universal search bar that will appear at the top of any screen on the app.

This new search bar will make it easier for users to search for friends, snaps and stories, no matter where they are within Snapchat.

Snapchat is also introducing a new “Quick Chat” feature, which lets people see their most frequently contacted friends, groups, new friends and suggested friends all in one place.

In addition to this, each person or group will now be represented with their very own Bitmoji, which will be displayed on a new card-style layout, which shows a user’s name and Snapchat handle.

The update also sees Snapchat expanding its Our Stories tool, which builds stories around holidays, events or national themes, letting all users contribute their own snaps to the stories.

Snapchat has started to roll out these updates on selected Android devices and is expected to bring the new version to all iOS and Android users soon.
