The GDI Podcast: Match Group VP Discusses ‘Upward’, The New Dating App For Christians!

While the majority of Match Group’s mainstream media attention goes to its biggest brands in Tinder, Hinge and Match, the umbrella company also offers a variety of more focused apps targeted at specific demographics.

The Affinity team has worked to develop several popular platforms in recent years, including BLK for Black singles and Chispa for the Latino community.

Its most recent venture is Upward, a brand new dating app for Christians to find a long-term relationship. Religious dating platforms have continued to grow in popularity as the online dating industry works to shake its outdated hookup stigma.

They are now seen as viable options for many single people of faith, even if their parents might still need some convincing.

Alexis Ferraro is the Vice President of Brand and Communications, and is focused on helping to grow the newest brands. She oversees a variety of marketing arms which appeal to people from different cultures and aims to support fast growth for every brand.

Alexis appeared on The GDI Podcast to talk about the creation of Upward, a unique campaign that was run for the Easter holiday, as well as a quick discussion on BLK and Chispa.
