Two Tinder engineers are scheduled to speak at the upcoming droidcon in San Francisco.

The conference is being held at the Mission Bay Center on November 19th and 20th, and will focus on various lines of software development for Android frameworks.

Over 800 people are expected to attend. Ticketholders will have an opportunity to view more than 70 presentations from various professionals in the Android industry.

Marcos Paulo Damasceno is a senior Android developer at Tinder as part of the Discovery team which looks to create new features to help the dating app continue to grow. He will be giving a talk titled ‘LiveData beyond ViewModels’.

Damasceno explained that his talk will investigate “the challenge of communicating between distinct parts of the apps – how [to] fix that by using LiveData [and] how Transformations can – make the communication between different custom views simpler and less coupled.”

Also speaking at the event will be Zhixuan Lai, a software engineer whose talk will be about “Taming WebSocket with Scarlet”.

An engineer from Badoo recently spoke at a droidcon event in London at the end of October.

Zsolt Kosci described how time travel debugging can be used to inspect code and modify it before an issue arises. His full session is now available to be viewed online.
