Christian Connection Owners Widernet Acquire Web Development Company Pigment

Widernet Acquire Pigment
Niche online dating developer Widernet has just announced its acquisition of Pigment Ltd.

Widernet operates a number of dating platforms including Christian Connection & graduate matchmaking site Ivorytowers.

Web development company Pigment was established in 2008 by Widernet directors Erica Turner, Jonathan Williams and Sam Oliver, and has worked with clients including EDF Energy, Workhub and Becta over the years.

Pigment developed and maintained the Widernet websites, as well as devising its custom payment system for subscribers.

The acquisition lets Widernet bring Pigment’s web & app development in-house, and enables Widernet to continue to develop its portfolio further.

Speaking about the acquisition, Christian Connection founder Jackie Elton said: “As ChristianConnection.com continues to grow both in the UK and in other countries, Pigment has chosen to withdraw from its other client commitments and concentrate all its efforts on growing Christian Connection.

“I’m pleased that we are still independent and still growing, thanks to a great team.”

The transaction was overseen by Philip Clare and was led by Adam Rayner, Associate Solicitor of the Corporate Finance Team at Muckle LLP, alongside Frances Cameron, Associate Solicitor on the Employment Law aspects.
