Yoti Joins Partnership with Igbo Introductions

Yoti has recently announced a new partnership with Igbo Introductions.

Igbo Introductions is a UK based dating site for the Nigerian community living abroad.

Users of the dating site are able to download the Yoti app, where they will need to create their own account.

They will then be able to verify their identification using their new digital proof of ID.

Mrs Patricia Ike, Igbo Introductions Founder, said: “Igbo Introductions is a London- based online dating service by a collaboration of working professionals from the Igbo ethnic group of Nigeria. We wanted to incorporate the richness of the Igbo marriage and dating traditions with the exhilarating nature of modern online dating.”

She added: “There are approximately 33 million Igbo people worldwide. From the start we were conscious of online romance fraud, particularly when dealing with international boundaries. We also understand current user concerns with data privacy and the use of social media. We wanted to work with a third- party company who have an in- depth understanding of data security that could safely process, verify and store our client ID documents.”

“After some research and subsequent testing, we found that Yoti met all the requirements. By working in partnership with Yoti we able to share the responsibility of client data security. Also working with Yoti has meant we are able to build trust with our clients by providing a safe platform where they can communicate and establish relationships with Igbo people worldwide.”
