Former Tinder and Bumble Sociologist Jessica Carbino Announces Her New Book

Dr. Jessica Carbino, former sociologist at Tinder and Bumble, has announced her new book, Better Love. The book is now available for pre-order from Simon & Schuster and draws on Carbino’s years of research into dating and relationships. Carbino spent around three and a half years at Tinder researching user behavior and dating trends before joining Bumble as its sociologist in 2018.

Better Love explores how people approach dating, including attraction, recurring relationship patterns and fear of rejection. Carbino draws on her academic research, her experience at Tinder and Bumble, and lessons from her own 343 dates.

Carbino holds a PhD in sociology and is currently completing a second doctorate in clinical psychology. Since leaving Tinder and Bumble, she has continued to research and comment on dating, relationships and changing dating behavior.
