Dog-Loving Dating App Pawsome Pair Launches, Donates to Shelters
A new niche dating service named Pawsome Pair has officially launched, aiming to connect pet lovers while supporting animal welfare. Founded by Paul Fialon, whose Labrador‑Beagle rescue “Duncan” inspired the platform, the app allows users to highlight their pets in profiles and share stories about their animal companions. Unlike typical swipe-based apps, Pawsome Pair encourages deeper connections around shared values and pet ownership.
Membership options range from a free trial through to monthly or annual subscriptions. Notably, 20% of each paid membership is donated to no-kill shelters, humane societies, and animal rescues.
The differentiated approach means members showcase both themselves and their pets, fostering matches rooted in kindness and mutual interests. This is far from the only dating app of its type – competitors like Pawwtners and Petmeet also exist, with all three platforms having a similar focus on pet-centric matching and activities as well as lifestyles and personal hobbies.
As younger users increasingly seek authenticity and community, apps like Pawsome Pair present a fresh take on digital dating, and may become even more desirable as users increasingly push for authentic, conscious and personally-preferred approaches to how they date.
