Feeld’s State of Reflections Vol 2 Shows Improved Communication
Feeld’s second “State of Reflections” report examines how its self-reflection tool helps users develop clearer language around intimacy, desires, and boundaries. The survey of 1,112 Feeld members who used Reflections found that the feature supports greater self-awareness and more intentional communication in online dating.
Reflections is a tool within Feeld that facilitates a self-guided path through 165 prompts, all designed to spark up different thoughts about personal needs and beliefs and preferneces and kinks.
According to the report, Reflections helped users articulate desires more precisely. Many participants reported gaining vocabulary to describe their wants, kinks, and boundaries. Key results include 67% of respondents showing increased interest in discussing desires, while over 50% were more interested in talking about boundaries and safer sex. Gender expansive users reported particularly strong gains, with 70% showing higher interest in discussing desires.
The study also found that 58% of users became more aware of what they seek in connections, and 51% gained better understanding of their own desires and sexual expression. Seventy-two percent said they changed or considered changing how they communicate desires on their profiles. Women were 51% more likely than men to plan profile updates focused on compatibility.
Reflections appears to encourage action. Users reported feeling more empowered to identify red flags (45% overall), with gender expansive members 30% more likely to do so. Gen Z respondents stood out, with 63.9% feeling more empowered to communicate wants and needs compared to 53.5% of Millennials and older generations. Gen Z women were 24% more likely than Millennial women to want to discuss safer sex.
