Grindr, Tinder, Other Apps Release Pride Month Features
Over the past two weeks, several major dating platforms have unveiled campaigns and features aimed at celebrating LGBTQ+ identity for Pride Month – some purely cosmetic, and others featuring real digital events or in-person gatherings.
Grindr kicked off its “Grindr Rides Again” Pride Tour, bringing a branded bus to cities across the U.S. and Europe. The tour features on-site events with drag performances, DJs, portrait studios, and free swag, designed to emphasize real-world connections and strengthen its role beyond digital encounters. According to the brand, the initiative is intended to “de-stigmatize Grindr” and position it as a cultural staple within queer communities.
Meanwhile, Tinder has relaunched its collaboration with designer Willy Chavarria under the “How We Love Is Who We Are” campaign. The initiative includes exclusive Pride-themed designs and in-app profile stickers, with Tinder pledging up to $100,000 in donations to the Human Rights Campaign – $1 per sticker added . Data from 2024 indicates a 66% increase in queer matches year-over-year, with LGBTQ+ users now constituting 30% of all matches.
Bumble has expanded its Pride efforts with a year-round allyship program in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign. The company has announced pop-up events featuring swag and on-the-ground activations, alongside contributions and educational initiatives that will continue beyond June.
Across these platforms, brands are blending digital and physical strategies – real-world events, themed visuals, and charitable commitments – to celebrate Pride in a meaningful way. These are far from the only sites that are celebrating Pride Month, however, with dozens of smaller websites setting up their own events for the month going forward.
