LinkedIn Tests Collaborative Posts for Shared Content Creation
LinkedIn is testing a new collaborative posts feature that enables users to invite other members or company pages as co-creators of in-stream content. The option appears in the post composer settings, allowing creators to add collaborators who will be credited at the top of the final post.
The feature is currently limited to a small group of creators and brands at the Cannes Lions festival. LinkedIn plans to expand availability to more users over the next few months. The company described it as a way to recognize team contributions behind major announcements, product launches, or milestones.
This update fits into LinkedIn’s ongoing efforts to support creators and enhance content tools. The platform recently launched a Creator Marketplace to connect brands with professionals and introduced sponsored member posts. Collaborative features could encourage more frequent posting and leverage personal networks, which often achieve greater reach than company pages alone.
The limited initial rollout will provide data on usage patterns, moderation requirements, and potential impact on engagement. As LinkedIn continues to develop creator-focused features, collaborative posts could become another mechanism for increasing activity and value within its professional network
