Swiss Dating App noii Successfully Launches in Germany
Swiss dating startup noii has begun its international expansion with a successful first event in Stuttgart, Germany. The app, which focuses on organizing offline real-life dating events rather than traditional online matching, held its debut German event – a Morning Coffee Party – in late April 2026.
noii was founded by Laura Matter in 2022, initially as a live video speed-dating platform. However, offline events quickly proved far more popular, leading the company to shift its entire focus to in-person experiences in 2025. The app now serves primarily as a platform for ticket sales, match features, and post-event communication, while events range from parties and comedy nights to sports activities.
In Switzerland, noii has established a strong presence, hosting up to 15 events per month across six cities (Zürich, Luzern, Bern, Basel, Genf, and Lausanne), attracting as many as 2,000 participants monthly. Most events are regularly sold out. Since fully transitioning to the offline model in August 2025, the company has achieved consistent monthly revenue growth of 5%.
The company is now expanding into Germany. Following the successful Stuttgart launch with 350 attendees, noii plans to organize approximately three events per month in the city. Additional launches in Munich and Cologne are scheduled for summer 2026.
Co-founder Thomas Kuschel, who is based in Stuttgart, is playing a key role in the German rollout. To build reach, noii is relying heavily on organic and paid social media campaigns on Instagram and TikTok, as well as partnerships with selected micro-influencers – a strategy that proved effective in Switzerland.
