TikTok Introduces New In-App Well-Being Hub

TikTok is expanding its suite of wellness-focused tools with the launch of a dedicated “Time and Well-Being” section inside the app, bringing together a range of mental-health and mindfulness features. The update marks one of TikTok’s most structured efforts yet to encourage healthier viewing habits, particularly among younger users, who make up a significant share of its audience.

The new hub builds on features the platform has introduced over the past few years, including its guided meditation experience rolled out earlier this year. According to TikTok, “tens of millions of people” have already used the meditation tool, a figure the company cites as evidence that many users are actively seeking stress-relief and grounding activities within the apps they frequent most.

The refreshed well-being space includes several new components. Users can access an affirmational journal stocked with more than 120 downloadable cards, a sound generator that plays calming audio such as rainfall and white noise, and a set of guided breathing exercises designed to help users slow down between sessions of rapid-fire content. TikTok will also surface creator-made videos explaining how features like screen-time limits, customized For You feeds, and Family Pairing controls can support healthier digital routines.

Alongside the new tools, TikTok is rolling out four “Well-Being Missions,” short activities that encourage users to adopt more intentional habits. These missions reward users with digital badges for actions like staying off the app during nighttime hours, following a daily screen-time limit, checking weekly usage reports, or inviting others to try the missions themselves. TikTok says the missions were developed with input from mental-health and digital-wellness experts.
