Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Sam Yagan was interviewed by the Chicago Tribune, covering topics including the status of Tinder founder Sean Rad, his VC fund, and what he looks for as an investor.
Last year, news broke that Sean Rad was being replaced as CEO, however since then nothing has been heard, with Rad still assuming position of CEO in media appearances – leading some to believe the decision had been reversed.
The Match Group CEO says while he doesn’t comment on HR activities, that “at some point there’s going to be new leadership”, and it wouldn’t be him.
Regarding his VC fund Corazon Capital, Yagan says they always looks for great entrepreneurs above all else, and that overestimating market size is the number one thing most entrepreneurs get wrong.
