FROM THE WEB: Cyber Crime Is Now Big Business, With Hackers Running Sophisticated Organisations

Cyber criminals are reportedly increasingly operating like legitimate businesses in order to carry out online attacks, according to a recent article by ZDNet.

And even though most work within the dark web and use restricted sites, Jens Monrad, senior intelligence analyst at FireEye said: “They’re very much acting like a business.

“We’re seeing that they very much collaborate and communicate via encrypted instant messaging systems.

“They’re still using various internet forums, some which are only available if you have enough street credibility or that you have to pay for to demonstrate how you’re willing to collaborate on their terms.”

And according to ZDNet, terms and conditions are being increasingly used by cyber criminals who are said to be “leasing out or franchising their malicious software as a service.”
