Sisters Launch Hot Girl Hotline for AI Relationship Advice
Sisters Baila and Sumrin Mudgil launched Hot Girl Hotline, an AI relationship-advice app for young women. Baila previously worked as a social media consultant. Sumrin studied computer science at Stanford.
The app offers women an alternative to ChatGPT for dating and relationship questions. The founders say its advice draws on behavioural science. It asks questions to help users reach their own decisions and tailors advice to their values and goals.
The app knows when to end a conversation without dragging it out. It encourages users to take action offline. When conversations raise safety concerns, it directs users to support services such as the US 988 crisis hotline.
The New York startup is bootstrapped and offers a $9.99 monthly subscription on iOS and the web. It will participate in Startup Battlefield 200, TechCrunch’s showcase of selected early-stage startups. The programme takes place at TechCrunch Disrupt, a startup and technology conference in San Francisco, on 13–15 October.
