How has the online dating experience changed over the last decade?
One man who might be able to answer that as well as anyone is Jason Hill, an OkCupid user who spent 12 straight years on the dating site.
Hill, who was told by Sam Yagan that he was probably the site’s “longest continual user”, was recently interviewed by Mary Duffy for Fusion, who asked about his experiences using the site, and how internet dating has changed over the past 12 years.
The now-married Brooklynite gives some really interesting insights into how the product has evolved, as well as what it was like being at the forefront of the online dating world – telling Duffy that he went on “a lot” of dates with women “who said it was their first internet date ever.”
