Tinder Launches ‘Super Like’ To Tell Someone They Stand Out

Tinder has just released a “superpower” way to like other singles on the dating app.

Today, Tinder released Super Like, which lets users show a potential match that they stand out from everyone else.

To do this, Tinder users either swipe up, or tap a new blue star icon when browsing a profile.

If you Super Like someone, the other person knows you did because when your profile appears on the Tinder feed, it is highlighted with a blue footer and star icon.

If they then swipe right on you, you immediately match and are put in touch.

In a blog post, Tinder said: “We wanted Super Likes to be really special while making sure everyone can use them, so to start we’re giving Tinder users one Super Like to send each day. You can’t bank Super Likes, so use your daily Super Like, and use it wisely!”

It seems with this new feature it is likely Tinder will let you get more Super Likes by paying for its monthly subscription fee, which currently gives you the Undo and Passport features.

Speaking of the Passport feature, this has been relegated to the Discovery Preferences, which users can access by visiting the settings, and tapping ‘Swiping In’ to change your location and start swiping anywhere in the world.

This may mean that Passport has not been a massively successful feature, and Tinder has been working on replacing it with something singles are more likely to want to use, and potentially pay for.

CEO and co-founder Sean Rad has said the feature is currently rolling out in Australia, and will become live in new markets over the coming weeks and months.
